The average salary in the Major League reached a record $ 4 million.

The average annual salary of a baseball player in MLB has reached $ 4 million for the first time in history. According to the MLBPA at the end of the season in 2017, average wages even exceeded this limit and is currently at $ 4, 097, 122. This represents an increase of 3, 3% from last year when the average salarywas a record $ 3, 966, 020.

From the New York office, a little bit different data was disseminated, but the jump is pretty much the same;an increase of 3, 4% from $ 3, 825, 967 in 2016 to the current $ 3, 955, 920. This does not take into account the potential termination benefits that the MLBPA includes in its calculations. As of August 31, there were 963 players in the active squads and lists of injuries to the 30 clubs mentioned by payment for sport prediction , which is one less than the previous season. After that date, the teams have the right to exp and their ranks from 25 to 40. Then the average wage drops considerably, as most of the added players are young baseball players with a pay close to the minimum. In 2017 it was $ 535, 000, and from 2018 it was $ 545, 000.
