Walter Zenga will be the new head coach of Sampdoria. The former goalkeeper arrived in Genoa for final negotiations with the club.
The official site of the team has published photo of Zenga at the airport with the inscription: `Welcome back, Walter`.
Zenga will inherit the post of Sinisa Mihajlovic, who left in search of more challenging.
`For me, it`s extremely exciting to be back in Genoa. I have spent two incredible years here as a competitor.`, said Zenga.
The goalkeeper kept the door of Sampdoria in 1994-96, and in the same period Sinisa Mihajlovic was playing for the team.
