Murray against Ferrer in the quarterfinals in Paris

Andy Murray will face against David Ferrer in a quarterfinal match of the open tournament "Roland Garros". This happened after the Scot won with 3:1 sets against one of the surviving representatives of the hosts Jeremy Chardy - 6:4, 3:6, 6:3, 6:2 in different parts.

Thanks to the success, Andy Murray will play in the quarterfinals in a Grand Slam tournament for the 17th consecutive time. Furthermore, the Briton is now in a series of 14 consecutive victories.

The Frenchman Chardy went with dignity in the game, but still does not get anything more than a set. The last time when Murray dropped from the player with a similar ranking (Chardy is No45) in a Grand Slam was in the start of the Australian Open 2006, when the Britain gave way to the No51 in the world - Juan Ignacio Chela.

Murray has a positive balance in the matches against the next opponent David Ferrer. He leads with 9:6 wins, but still has no victory over the Spaniard on clay. Earlier in the day, Ferrer won with 3:0 sets against the US Open champion Marin Cilic - 6:2, 6:2, 6:4 in different parts.
