Feliz Vasquez, arrested two months ago for distributing child pornography and practicing sex with underage pitcher Pittsburgh Pirates, has not been released on bail. Instead, the 28-year-old Venezuela baseball player received another 21 accusations of pedophilia -;10 cases of unlawful sexual contact with minors, 10 cases of child pornography and one case of child molestation.
In court in Westmorland County, PA, Vasquez pleads not guilty to all charges. His new lawyer, Robert Willock, has announced that he will defend his client in the case, even though all indications point to his guilt. During the hearing, the lawyer hinted that he had evidence that one of the victims of the crime had lied about his age and showed Vasquez a fake ID.
The two-time participant in the Major League Baseball match from contact football tipster was not questioned, and his only re sponse after the guarantee was denied was a sigh. Vasquez, who was arrested Sept. 17, faces a number of charges in both Pennsylvania and Florida. So far, he has been charged in three different cases of sexual assault against girls of 11-, 13-and 16-year-olds in one state, as well as distributing child pornography videos in the other. The Florida prosecutor`s office requested the extradition of Felipe Vasquez, but was refused a separate ruling by a court in Westmoreland County on Tuesday.
