Dominic Thiem won in front of the sight of Nole

The Austrian Dominic Thiem won the tournament from bestpaidtips in Umag, Croatia, on red courts. At the final he won the Portuguese Joao Sousa with 6:4, 6:1 for a little more than one hour.

Team was applauded by the world number one Novak Djokovic, who was on the stands of the stadium in the tourist`s island.

"I`m happy with my performance throughout the week. I was able to raise the level of my game against Monfils at the semifinals and at the final. Furthermore, I reduced the number of my errors. It was amazing to play here, where I held a series of matches as a teenager," admitted the young Austrian.

He picked up 250 points for the success that climbed him to the record for him 24 th place in the world rankings, and a check for EUR 80,000.

Dominic became the fifth player born in the 90s of the twentieth century who has won more than a title. Team has won his first award in May in Nice. The rest of this generation are Milos Raonic, Grigor Dimitrov, Bernard Tomic and David Goffin.
